The screen uses FTIR (short for Frustrated Total Internal Reflection) setup. It involves three vital components: a sheet of transparent acrylic, a chain of infrared LEDs, and a camera with an IR filter. The LEDs are arranged around the outside of the sheet of acrylic so that they shine directly into the thin side surfaces. The net effect of the setup described above is a sheet of acrylic full of internally reflecting infrared light. When a finger is pressed against the acrylic, it causes some of the light to be reflected down, through the acrylic and into the cabinet, where it is detected by the webcam.

In which specific page did you see this happen and what specific antivirus program you used?
There are ads on the site but they come from reputable sources.
Possible causes I think could be one of the following:
- This was a false alarm
- You have some malware already on your computer, that showed that advertisement instead of this site (going to some sites can trigger some malware, or they just give you extra advertisments more or less randomly)

The advertising used in this site should not cause popup from antivirus.
It could be some other reason that made it occur (for example some malware in your computer that activates when some specific sites are visited) or it could be a false alarm.

I used to be a graphic designer, now I am a copy editor for a marketing firm. I have also browsed the site with some earlier versions of Ubuntu Linux, but at time the browser I used was Firefox. No problem there either.
