    The USB port of any computer has a pair of pins for the power supply. This is a 5 volt power supply. You may modify non-usb devices to work on USB as long as they require only 5 volts of power supply. Na please take note, so not load devices with a big current requirement, it will overload your laptop or computer circuit as much as if you allow the wires to short out.
