VESA Advanced Feature Connector

VAFC defines an open grpahics card expansion bus standard. The bus is bidirectional 16/32 bit bus with maximum clock rate of 37.5 MHz and maximum data transfer rate 150 Mbytes/s. This configuration supports graphics overlaying up to resolutions 1024x768 with 16 bit bus. The bus supports two devices connected up to 7" apart. VAFC supports genlocking of the graphics card to external source. There is limited backward output compatibility with 8-bit VESA Standard VGA Passthrough Connector (VSVPC).

Connector

The VAFC connector is a 80-pin high density connector with .100x.050 pin spacing. The cable used for connecting to that connector is 0.025" spaced ribbon cable.The connector has following pinout:
