I know you have checked the batteries.
Now you need to check if you have output from the remote.
If you have a video camera... and you aim the
remote into the lense, camera operating of course, you will see the beam in your camera if it is transmitting.
Another trick I have used is switch your TV to a UHF station with to picture, aim the remote at the screen and see flashes on the TV screen when you press the remote buttons. If you see flashes you are transmitting from the remote.
Also is it possible that you have switched off the remote function on the TV, not sure about your model but some models do allow you to switch off the remote.
If your remote is operating then maybe you have the remote receiver malfunctioning in the TV.
