I also believe that operating such a device would be illegal, at least here in the U.S. But I think the chances of getting in any significant legal trouble over it are very small. There are other issues here besides legal. What kind of person disturbs the people around him/her by using a cell phone at inappropriate times or places? I suspect it is somebody who has a rude and discourteous personality and/or has an overblown ego and feels that he/she is so important and powerful that all others are insignificant. What kind of a person would use a cell phone jammer?
