: : how many pmpo watts equalt 1 rms

: According how audio industry seems to use the term PMPO (peak music power output), in can be anythign from 5 to 100 watts of PMPO that equals one real RMS watt.

RE: Thanks Tomi. I have this vague memory of buying a little stereo as a young teenager. It was rated for 150 watts / channel PIP (Peak Impulse Power). Well I thought this was some awesome power until I found out later it translated to something less than 5 watts RMS! So much for 'Truth in Advertising' KC
