I have the same TV and the same problems, I'm not sure about the color but it is the second time that it is happening to me and everytime I moved. As of the power issue, I had the same problem and it is a capacitor that is causing you this problem. The capacitor that caused this problem was in the power supply area and it was a RE2, CE85C, 9031, 50v, 470mF. The bad capicator also caused a problem with a diode (Very small part in the proximity of the Capacitor). I'm having a TV shop looking up the problem with the color and I will post an update if I find out what the problem is.

: : I have this old TV and for some reason it started to only show black and white.

: : How can I get the documentations for it so the technician will be abke to fix it.
: : (It is not on the Sony site)

: : Thanks,

: I have the same TV which I bought overseas and now it stays on for a while and then shuts off. I am also looking for the service manual.
