Toms Joystick port input schem - output ?

Hi Tom

I have created a circuit off this one of your to read a voltage to the games port.

One thing I am not 100%
The input to games port from the circuit appera to reference ground, not the 5v as the pots would in a joystick.

Does that output from the circuit go to pot input and gnd to PC gnd
Or does the circuit output go to 5v and the gnd go to the games port input ?
