Torvaldsin nimi komeilee sijalla yksitoista. Hän on tiettävästi ainoa suomalainen koodinjakoon tarkoitetun Github-sivuston sadan eniten tähtiä saaneen joukossa. Listalla voi tosin olla muitakin suomalaisia, koska ohjelmistokehittäjät käyttävät välillä nimimerkkiä.
