Sensational bug turned out to be a PR trick

German SerNet launched a few weeks ago a marketing campaign, with the danger of future malware warned. Badlock-bug got its own logo, Webpages, and all the toes. Yesterday bug had to attack Windows and Samba Servers with great force, but instead of an explosion belonged mainly to thump.

SerNet organized an impressive campaign in which it now says that he wanted mainly to a better understanding of network threats. According to critics, it was unnecessary hype. Badlockista came Sadlock.

Numerous computer security experts are online and on Twitter described Badlockia no more than mediocre threat.
