Lego says it done too much bricks

Too much Lego bricks. This is a problem for parents of several small children. Now, it is also a problem for a company manufacturing bricks.

The company reports that its sales and profits have fallen for the first time in 13 years. Lego spokesman says the company has too much bins in warehouses and shops.

"In 2017, we did not get our new toys properly displayed in stores and the toy industry will live on new products," says spokeswoman.

The sales of the Danish toy manufacturer have fallen in Europe and North America and there are plenty of unsold old Lego stores.

In September last year, Lego Group terminated 1,400 employees from all over the world. The company then announced that it needed a "new beginning".

Last year, the company's net sales decreased by eight percent to approximately EUR 4.7 billion.

"The year 2017 was challenging for us, and we are not happy with our financial performance,"

Lego has increased its sales in new market areas, especially in Asia. China has a "strong potential" in China.

Lego has also expanded into new business areas, such as movies.
