Pressing menu repeatedly will cycle through various modes: Clr, Snd, DMX, etc etc.
clr is usually color mode where subsequent up/down will cycle through red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, yellow, and white.
Snd is usually sound active mode and then up / down changes the sensitivity…
