​Zinc: One of the most common metals for automotive fuses (blade fuses) and low-voltage applications. Zinc has a relatively low melting point (419.5^\circ\text{C}), provides good electrical conductivity, and is highly resistant to corrosion when exposed to air.
​Copper &amp; Silver-Plated Copper: Widely used in industrial, high-current, and high-voltage fuses. Copper conducts electricity exceptionally well. It is often plated with silver to prevent oxidation, which can degrade the fuse&#039;s performance over time.
​Silver: The gold standard for high-performance, fast-acting fuses (such as those protecting sensitive semiconductor electronics). Silver provides outstanding conductivity and does not oxidize as easily as bare copper, ensuring the fuse&#039;s rating remains precise over years of service.
​Tin or Lead-Tin Alloys: Historically common, and still used in specific low-melting-point applications (like traditional plug fuses or glass tube electronics fuses). Tin melts at a very low 232^\circ\text{C}, allowing the fuse to interrupt the circuit at lower temperatures before surrounding components can overheat.]]></description>
