Microsoft on ilmoittanut, että Internet Explorer -selain on saanut viimeiset päivityksensä. Enää mitään paikkauksia ei ole luvassa. Ohjelmistojätin mukaan IE:n paikan ottaa nyt lopullisesti Edge.

Microsoft kehotti jo kesäkuun alussa yrityksiä vaihtamaan modernimpaan selaimeen ennen kesäkuun puoliväliä. Yhtiö jopa julkisti seikkaperäiset ohjeet mattimyöhäisille. Ensimmäinen askel on IE-moodi Microsoft Edge -selaimessa, jota tarvitaan IE-riippuvaisten saittien käyttämiseen. Mikäli ongelmia ilmenee – ilmeisesti niitä on edelleen laajasti – Microsoft kehottaa ottamaan yhteyttä App Assure -tiimiinsä.
