Wait a second… you say it will become obsolete, yet if you pull it out and turn it back on, it will still give you the SAME SOUND as when you last used it. It doesn’t matter if they stop updating it, because the last firmware it has will always continue to work.

That’s exactly what I was about to say too. It may lose its resale value, but I’ll still plug it in and get the sound I want.

Like most things in life these days, this is a class issue. Many simply cannot afford to have 6 different tube amps and a hundred pedals. Many also live in tiny apartments, where there is no space, or the ability to crank a half stack without getting evicted.
