Microsoft has not confirmed a release date for Windows 12 (or even acknowledged the next-generation operating system). It is not official, but there are many hints that Microsoft will release Windows 12 in 2023 or 2024. Here is some leaks and predictions material I have found on Windows 12.

Tomshardware reported back in July 2022 that Microsoft was purportedly moving its Windows desktop operating system to a three-year development cycle. Windows 10 was released to the public during the summer of 2015, while its successor, Windows 11, bowed six years later. Given Microsoft’s alleged tightened timeline, Windows 12 should arrive in 2024.

It is being expected that Windows 12 Beta Version will be out in March 2023 and full Windows 12 Version for all the configurations will be out by the mid of next year.

Intel leaker @leaf_hobby tweeted over the weekend that Windows 12 is listed as a supported operating system for Intel’s upcoming 14th-generation Meteor Lake-S desktop processors. @leaf_hobby subsequently deleted the tweet But, of course, Microsoft and Intel refuses to comment on leaks such as this one. By the time Windows 12 launches, Intel’s 15th generation Arrow Lake processors will be gearing up for production for release in late 2024 or, more likely, early 2025.

Microsoft is currently taking baby steps with AI with Windows 11, even though the company is hyping it as the “next big thing.” It is expected that AI is more in Windows 12. Windows 12, aka Next Valley, is expected to leverage the dedicated artificial intelligence (AI) engine introduced with AMD’s Ryzen 7000 family. Intel is also on track to implement similar hardware in its future Meteor Lake and Arrow Lake processors.

Internet Explorer is bowing out just short of its 27th birthday. As revealed last May, Microsoft will no longer support the Internet Explorer 11 desktop app for Windows 10′s usual Semi Annual Channel as of June 15th. This marks the effective end of software updates for most people. Windows 11 doesn’t include an IE desktop app.

The Edge browser’s IE Mode will still receive support through 2029 or later, so you won’t be stuck if you just need compatibility with the older web engine.

The deadline marks the end to a bittersweet chapter in Microsoft’s history. Internet Explorer launched alongside Windows 95. It played a key role in popularizing the internet, and for some became synonymous with going online.

This was the Windows version that made it to really mainstream. Windows 3.1 sold very well, with an appealing user interface and consumer-friendly multimedia features.

It did, however, have a relatively short life. Windows Networking shortcomings were partially addressed by Windows for Workgroups release 3.11 by 1993. Windows 95 turned up shortly after.

Nowadays you can test the joystick using web browser thanks to HTML 5 GamePad API. For example Geo-FS flight simulator recommends testing the joystick with Gamepad Tester and Debugger available at https://gamepad-tester.com/. It worked well for me with Chrome and FIrefod web browsers running on Windows 10 PC. I used it to rest the joystick and gamepad I had. This is also useful for debugging broken controllers, experimental hardware, and more. Multiple gamepads can be connected to a computer at once. This displays them all, and their current state.

If your browser implements the gamePad API properly, this should work well. Unfortunately that does not yet work in all systems on all browsers because the Gamepad API is still inconsistent across browsers and OSes.

Some things to check if you have problems:
Is the device plugged in / connected via bluetooth
Press some buttons. On some devices, only certain buttons will wake up the gamepad API (the shapes on PS3 controllers, for instance)
Close other apps that may be using the gamepad
Try restarting your web browser

Microsoft today officially announced Windows 11, the next version of its desktop operating system.

Microsoft plans to release Windows 11 to the general public by the holidays, so we can probably expect it sometime around late November.

You will now also be able to run Android apps on Windows. These apps will seem like native apps that can be integrated into the taskbar.

Windows 11 will come with Teams built-in.

Microsoft promises better graphics for gaming thanks to Auto HDR, a feature that’s already available on Xbox.

But now based on current published information on-line that there will be a new Windows version coming, maybe with name Windows 11 or similar. One fact is that Microsoft is having a Windows release event soon that starts at 11AM ET on June 24th. It is expected that Microsoft to reveal its next generation of Windows on June 24th.

The Verge reports that Microsoft is back teasing Windows 11 again. Microsoft teases new Windows 11 startup sound with 11-minute video. Microsoft’s event invite even appears to tease a new Windows logo.

There is a lot of speculation around the release as to whether there will be an update to Windows 11 or 10 or something else. Microsoft has been teasing a “next generation” of Windows for months now, but new hints suggest the company isn’t just preparing an update to its existing Windows 10 software, but a new, numbered version of the operating system: Windows 11.

Windows 11 is suggested, for example, by a launch event starting at 11 a.m. local time, as well as a teaser video released by Microsoft in which the light reflected from the window seems to form “11”.

Expected changes:

Microsoft’s Your Phone app already allows you to run Android apps on Windows, but at least for now, it only works on select Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

To edit a video file, open it in the Photos app (use Open with on file options).

The “Automatic video with music” option lets you select your own photos or videos. You can add photos to get a slideshow or combine photos with a video.

The editing tools are fairly self-explanatory. The Filters tool offers a variety of filters. The Motion tool lets you choose different styles of camera motion for the video or photo. The 3D Effects tool provides a library of 3D effects you can apply to the video.

When you have completed your project, select Finish video to publish your film. You can control video quality if you wish.
