Examples of seach options

Wildcard and asterisks

Example 1: You need to find find the circuit which use the famous 555 timer chip. You know that the chip is manufatured with by different manufacturers with codes like LM555, NE555 and so on. You want a single search which matches all of those different types. The best approach to use those is to use the following search with tho "?" wildcard characters:

??555
This search will find all the links which end with 555 and have two whatever characters before the the "555". Other possible search option to try is:
*555
Which matches to any line which have a word in it which ends with 555.

Example 2: You want to find all links which are about LM1881 chip. You know that there are different versions of that chip available. The name of those start all with LM1881 but have some extra letters (one or more) after the main product code. To find all of those links use following search:

LM1881*
Which will list all the links which have a word which starts with LM1881.

AND operator

AND operation is an usfeul tool to make more specific searches if a search with one keyword only does give too many reply results. With "AND" operator you can make a search which will only look for the links which have the both keywords seaprated by the AND operator. Here is an example search string:

audio and DAC
Will give you all links which have a keyword "audio" followed by keyword "DAC". It will list only those links which have the both keywords in that order. There can be any number of words or characters between those "audio" and "DAC" keywords.

You can compare the example with search string:

audio DAC
Which will only match to links which have the exact phrase "audio DAC" in it.

OR operator

OR operator is a too to list all links which contain either the keyboard before OR operator or the workd after it or both of them. Here is an example search string:
