Two thousand articles

I just found out today that the number of published blog articles just reaches 2000. I started this blog in March 2009, so the average posting rate has been approximately one posting per day. I try to keep it that way.

Shellshock fixing

Shellshock Bash Vulnerability has been keeping me busy last few days.  Shellshock is a nasty bug that causes problems. Because ePanorama.net is running on Linux server, I has to do the necessary steps to keep the site safe. First step was to analyze the problem: Does my system have vulnerable bas version? The answer is yes

Every now and then I get request that people want updates on new posting on their e-mail box (I am wondering who wants that nowadays, but if someone likes that delivery method, then by not offer it). While looking for options to do that, I decided that best route for all is to use Blogtrottr

I have  done some integration from ePanorama.net to some of the most popular social media services: Twitter and Facebook. New blog system in use

ePanorama.net is now using a brand new blog systems. Here is new WordPress software with new theme. This project has been some time on the task list, and now it is in use. This new blog system should work better and be more mobile user friendly, while still nice for all desktop users.  

New main index page

A new ePanorama.net main index page is now on-line. The new index page tries to fit all the most often needed links in the one web browser screen without need to scroll the page. The new page contains a daily changing picture element. That picture element is often a photograph on more or less electronics
