This discussion board to allow the users of the www.epanorama.net to discuss about the topics covered by the site. The relevant discussion topics are almost anything related to electronics, computers, audio, video and related topics.

This discussion boards is not for product advertisement purposes. It is for discussion. Do not sends your advertisements here, they may be deleted by the webmaster team. If you want good advertisement visibility, buy advertisment space from www.epanorama.net (you can for example get your advertisement banner to shown every time somebody reads a message if you pay for it).
Commercial advertisements are not totally forbidden. If you for example have a product which solves the problem set in one discussion group question, feel free to post a good reply which tells about your product and why it is a good solution for this problem.
This discussion board supports also pictures. You can link one picture with "Optional Image URL" field of the message. If you put the URL to this field (full URL with http://) this picture will be shown to the readers of the message. When using picture be sure to check out that the picture URL you write is working and the picture is in widely supported format (GIF and JPEG are preferred formats here because practically all graphical web browsers suport them). This way of adding the images to the post allows you to link to images on this site or other sites (check that there is no copyright or technical issues that do not allow linking). If you want your own pictures to messages, you need to first put them available to web to some other site and then link them to here. You can use the web space provided by your ISP or use some free web space providers (unless they have disallowed the linking to images from other sites, some providers have done this). ePanorama.net does not provide user space for user pictures.
ASCII picures (picrures drawn with ASCII scharacters) do not work. They do not appear right to the majority of readers. Do not put them to the messages.
The postings are added to the discussion group are immediatly added and put visible when they are posted. If you do not see your posting immediatly on the list, hit "reload" button once or twice to make sure that your browser will download the newest version of the discussion index page instead of showing the old version it has in it's local cache.
No. You can not use HTML tags in any field. The maintainer of the script has the option of allowing or disallowing any HTML in the Message part of your posting. If they disallow it, the script will just throw out everything in <>'s. The HTML tags are currenty disasllowed for security reasons.
Colons appear in the message dialog box when you try to followup up on a message to indicate that those lines are quoting the previous document. The owner of the WWWBoard can decide whether they wish to enable or disable the quoting of previous messages.

Where can I get the scripts for this program?
The discussion board scripts are written in Perl and created by Matt Wright. They are free to anyone who wishes to use them and you can get them as well as other scripts at: http://worldwidemart.com/scripts/. Enjoy!
The particular version used in www.epanorama.net is a slightly modified version of what you can download from the previous site. The www.epanorama.net team has modified the scripts to get the "look and feel" that fits well with the rest of the site. The www.epanorama.net team has also developed some extra scripts fo make some extra functionality (for example to show the newest posts). This modified message board script or those extra scripts are not freely available.
