I dont understand why are you Using the Most out dated infrared technology...which most of the time requires relays ....Instead try using a Ultrasonic Module..Placing a small Reciver on the train Engine with the Body grounded as the Antenna...one can Trigger Signals Via AIR...through a Simple TOY CAR REMOTE CONTROLL...
